Called the "magic hour" the time right around sunrise and sunset the low angle of the sun creates a warm diffuse light. Here the blue under the ink is actually the earths shadow being cast on our atmosphere. A few minutes later the sun hit the peaks of the Alaska range and the famed Mount Mckinley nearly dead center was bathed in Alpenglow. The pink light is reflected upon the ice of the river freezing up below.
